Export your trades from Stake

Stake has two kinds of accounts — Australian (Stake AUS) and US (Stake Wall St). This shows you how to download your activity report and import it into Metrifly, which works out which kind of report you’ve uploaded by matching its columns automatically. By the end, your Stake trades will be in your portfolio.

Stake AUS accounts can also be linked directly for automatic trade sync. On the Stake Add holdings page, choose Direct account link instead of uploading reports.

Before you start

• Know which account you’re importing: AUS or Wall St (US).
• In Metrifly, pick the single portfolio you want the trades to go into (not a group).

Step 1 — Download your activity report from Stake

1. Log in and select your AUS or Wall St (US) trading account.
2. Go to Tax & reporting → Financial year reports.
3. Download the Investment activity report for the relevant year.

You’ll get an .xlsx file — that’s the file Metrifly needs.

Step 2 — Import the file into Metrifly

1. In Metrifly, go to Transactions → Add Holdings and select Upload a file.
2. Upload your file. Metrifly matches the columns of your AUS or Wall St report automatically and previews the trades it found.
3. Review the trades, then click Import. Your trades save in the background and your holdings update within a minute.

Note

If you trade on both Stake accounts, export and import each one separately.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Fix
US trades look wrong (or AU trades do)	Double-check you exported the report for the right account — Metrifly matches columns based on what’s in the file.
The file won’t upload	Make sure it’s the .xlsx activity report and it’s under 10 MB.
Some trades are missing	Download the activity report for each financial year you’ve traded in.
